We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at MASTER CONSTRUCTION LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction, including building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Prepare tenders and quotations
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
- Survey building locations and levels
- Instruct apprentices
- Supervise other workers
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
