About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automatic Door Technician to join our team at Flynn Canada Ltd. As a key member of our automatics and glazing team, you will be responsible for servicing and performing preventative maintenance on automatic door operating equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service and repair automatic door operating equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment as designated
  • Perform preventative maintenance work in accordance with service programs designated for specific customers
  • Record productive time versus travel time and maintain accurate work records and parts used at each job
  • Stay up-to-date on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standards
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property in proper condition
  • Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicles and keep inventory logs
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain good customer relations
  • Assist and instruct others in installation and service methods
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • AADAM Accreditation
  • Clean Driving Record and Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to work in various climates
  • Ability to work overhead
  • Ability to lift and/or carry weight up to 50-75lbs
  • Flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, or on-call as necessary
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience servicing automated doors
  • Prior experience in the construction field installing door frames and windows
  • Associate degree in a related electrical, mechanical, or industrial field
  • Prior experience as a glazier installing glass doors or windows and carpentry experience
