Accounting Manager Job Description

At CATSearch HR Consultancy Inc., we are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the preparation of financial statements, reviewing staff accountants' work, and completing complex file sections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements for business clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Review and approve the work of staff accountants, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct technical research and develop tax planning strategies for individuals and corporations.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met and relationships grow.
  • Contribute to the development of work processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as accounting or finance.
  • CA or CPA designation, with a minimum of 5 years public practice experience dealing with the accounting and taxation needs of private companies and their shareholders.
  • Comprehensive experience in compilation and review preparation, including knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE).
  • Experience leading and supervising staff, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficient in Caseware and Profile, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
