Job Description

**Job Title:** Seasonal PT Framer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seasonal PT Framer to join our team at Michaels. As a Framing Specialist, you will be responsible for creating memorable framing solutions for our customers' artwork, while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Framing and Encasement:** Create custom framing solutions using our ABC model, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • **Customer Service:** Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers in finding the perfect framing solution for their artwork, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • **Store Maintenance:** Maintain a safe and organized store environment, adhering to our operational procedures and protocols.
  • **Sales and Production:** Meet sales and production targets, while maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • **Inventory Management:** Manage inventory levels, ensuring that frames and other materials are readily available for customers.
  • **Cash Handling:** Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to our cash handling procedures.
  • **Teamwork:** Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales and production targets, while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements:
  • **Basic Computer Skills:** Possess basic computer skills and knowledge of our framing software.
  • **Measuring Skills:** Possess basic measuring skills and ability to operate framing equipment.
  • **Retail Experience:** Previous retail experience, preferably in a framing or art-related environment.
  • **Physical Demands:** Ability to lift heavy boxes and frames, stand for long periods, and move throughout the store.
Work Environment:

Our store is a public retail setting, with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and outdoor work may be required for tasks such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses, and work hours may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
