We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Industrial Design and Innovation to join our team. This new position reports directly to the Vice-President of Innovation and is responsible for creating the product experience for all our fleet, with a strong focus on the principal customer experience. To succeed in this role, you will need a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to lead and execute on innovative products to meet that demand.

Key Responsibilities:


• Develop and implement industrial design strategies for our products, from styling and aesthetics to functionality and experience. These design decisions impact our principal end-customer experiences and their overall appreciation for our products.

• Establish and maintain relationships with international design brands and luxury products to determine which should be integrated into our aircraft.

• Conduct research into emerging design and technology trends to stay ahead of the competition.

• Present design ideas, concepts, and products to customers and gather feedback from end-customers and representatives.

• Create a detailed and inspiring vision on how to identify and meet customers' needs for business aircraft.

• Lead, plan, organize, and execute projects with a team of highly skilled and diverse designers.

• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to rapidly experiment and iterate on design concepts to bring them to reality.

Requirements:


• A university degree in Industrial Design or equivalent, with an MBA preferably.

• 20+ years of experience in Industrial Design, Interior Design, R&D, and related activities.

• A track record of design innovation successes.

• A good understanding of the Business Aircraft Industry, key players, markets, and customers.

• Creative, collaborative, and driven to innovate.

• A solid communicator to engage people and generate buy-in.

• Experience leading a team.
