Personal Support Worker

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team. As a PSW, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents, assisting them with their daily activities and promoting their overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while respecting resident dignity and preferences.
  • Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and ensure residents receive comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of resident care, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Create a positive and supportive environment for residents, fostering their social engagement and emotional well-being.
  • Contribute to a safe and hygienic living environment by assisting with housekeeping tasks and infection control measures.
Qualifications
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Proficiency in English language (written and verbal).
  • Successful completion of a Ministry of Education approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working as a Facility PSW is an asset.
  • Current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid Certificate.
  • Negative T.B. skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
