Job Summary
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing inbound materials. They will also supply materials to manufacturing, packaging, and other internal customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload, verify, and inspect raw materials and components using Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Identify and address exception situations, such as under/over quantity, damaged shipments, or contaminated materials.
- Transfer products from the receiving area to the appropriate location.
- Distribute received mail, documents, and packages to identified departments/personnel.
- Manage the dock schedule and provide feedback to procurement on vendor performance.
- Organize and maintain adequate quantities of receiving and warehouse supplies.
- Exceptional Movements of Products
- Follow procedures and logistics flow for exceptional materials/products, such as class III/IV capsules, waste, CTS waste, CTS, fridge/freezer, Hazmat, and gases.
- Deliver materials to manufacturing, packaging, and other departments.
- Provide manufacturing, packaging, and other departments with necessary materials and update inventory using RF and/or SAP.
- Ensure transfer orders are completed in SAP for inventory accuracy and as per service level agreement.
- Processing Shipments
- Perform basic shipping tasks, such as interplant shipments, outbound courier, and simple deliveries.
- Cycle Counting
- Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory using SAP.
- Other
- Perform all work in accordance with established regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Adhere to internal and external regulations, such as the Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate (HPFBI) and the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).
- Maintain assigned work areas in an audit-ready state.
- Participate in internal/external audits/inspections/assessments and perform corrective actions as necessary.
Requirements
- Education
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalency.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Fluent in English written and oral communication.
- Competent operator of MHE, including Raymond and Cleco MHEs.
- Intermediate knowledge of computer operations, including SAP modules for warehouse operations/RF/warehouse databases.
- Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset.
