We are seeking a skilled Trade Commodity Finance Portfolio Analyst to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our Global Banking Technology & Operations department, you will play a critical role in delivering day-to-day services to our clients and business units.
Key Responsibilities- Collateral Risk Monitoring: Daily monitoring of collateral/financing activity, reconciling credit agreement terms, and acting as the day-to-day interface between clients, the Front Office, and the Back Offices.
- Trade Finance Analysis: Analyzing and approving letter of credit or loan requests from clients, performing AML and Sanctions checks on all deals, and reconciling activities to ensure accurate records.
- Covenant Monitoring: Performing covenant monitoring and analysis, including borrowing base reports and financial reports, and following up on past due items.
- Client Communication: Holding regular meetings with clients to discuss trend analysis, market events, and other relevant topics.
- Experience: Hands-on Middle Office or Back Office collateral monitoring experience.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical mindset, and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Knowledge: Good understanding of accounting concepts, including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, net, and inventory.
- Language: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required for effective communication with colleagues and clients.
