About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team at G Star Homes Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and apply successive coats of compound to drywall seams and joints
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for finishing
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Estimate costs and materials for drywall projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications for drywall installation
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a dusty environment with tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work at heights
