At Charger Logistics, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Load Planner. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of freight across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Match available freight loads with suitable carrier options to optimize transportation costs and schedules.
  • Utilize our Transportation Management System (TMS) to track and manage freight loads, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to identify and secure FTL shipments, including in-bound, out-bound, and cross-border load bookings.
  • Coordinate transportation arrangements, dispatch load confirmations to carriers, and orchestrate pickups and deliveries to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze load costs, transportation rates, and equipment prices to minimize expenses.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers to maximize brokerage coverage.
  • Manage daily shipment activities, resolving issues to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 1-3 years of experience in freight forwarding or 3PL.
  • Previous administrative logistics, land transportation, and service experience preferred.
  • Experience working with FTL shipments.
  • Excellent customer service and geographical knowledge within North America an asset.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations for over-the-road and international shipments.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • Good negotiation skills, persuasive, and energetic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and other applications.
