We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at KONE Canada. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Corporate Accounting Team, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage month-end and year-end period closing, ensuring timely completion of reporting.
- Manage and analyze the Balance sheet and General Ledger accounts, conducting balance sheet reconciliations and organizing routine balance sheet reviews with business partners.
- Coordinate timely completion of tax filings and government reports, and support payroll in ensuring timely filings of EHT, WSIB, and other payroll remittances.
- Manage any sales tax, income tax, or corporate audits, and provide effective resolution to disputes.
- Oversee External and Intercompany Accounts Payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of vendor payments.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with latest position being mid-level management.
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing a team of growing accounting professionals.
- Experience in cross-functional business partnering.
- Experience with SAP/S4 HANA and Business Planning and Consolidation.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including Hedge Accounting, Deferred Taxes, and Sales and Use Taxes.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and job costing.
