Job Title: Welder

Southwestern Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, and operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail. You will be working in a remote location with dusty and noisy conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC).
  • Work with steel, iron, and heavy metals, and perform gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and flux core arc welding (FCAW) techniques.
  • Use multipass techniques and operate arc welding machines and gas welding machines.
  • Work in a team environment and have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Requirements
  • Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
