The Culinary Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily activities within our food service establishment. This position requires a blend of leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to quality service.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure efficient work schedules.
- Order necessary food and kitchen supplies to maintain operations.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of team members involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Provide training to staff on their responsibilities, as well as sanitation and safety protocols.
- Assess and estimate the ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation.
- Recruit and hire food service personnel.
- Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
- Prepare and submit operational reports as required.
- Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
This role involves supervising a team of approximately 3-4 individuals.
Support InitiativesThe Culinary Operations Supervisor is also responsible for fostering an inclusive work environment by:
- Providing training to enhance awareness and support for individuals with disabilities.
- Offering diversity and cross-cultural training to promote a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers and refugees.
- Delivering tailored on-the-job training programs for youth.
- Conducting awareness training to support veterans in the workplace.
- Implementing cultural competency training for all employees to support Indigenous workers.
- Facilitating awareness training to create a welcoming environment for mature workers.
- Providing diversity training to support visible minorities.
