Our client, CPA Professional Liability Plan Inc. (CPA PLI), is seeking a seasoned professional to join their legal team as a Law Clerk. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in insurance claims management, with excellent organizational and communication skills. This six-month contract position offers a dynamic and supportive environment for a professional looking to apply their expertise. Key Responsibilities:

* Manage insurance claims files, including intake, documentation, and follow-up
* Prepare and review legal documents related to claims and professional liability matters
* Conduct legal research as needed to support claims analysis
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including adjusters and legal counsel, on claims matters
* Maintain accurate records and ensure timely filing of all required documentation
* Support the legal team with administrative tasks, as needed

Qualifications:

* Minimum 3 years of experience as a law clerk, with a strong focus on insurance claims
* Familiarity with professional liability claims is an asset
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in legal research and document preparation
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple files simultaneously
* A diploma or certificate in Law Clerk studies or equivalent
