Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Community Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering respiratory care services to patients in their homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care services to patients with respiratory dysfunction, including assessment, diagnostic testing, education, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Formulate and document respiratory care plans and disease self-management strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic testing, disease management education, and respiratory intervention.
- Assess patients for appropriate home oxygen and respiratory therapy, and provide education on effective respiratory disease management.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide recommendations on respiratory care and oxygen needs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and community respiratory meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) credentialing exam.
- Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
- Two years' recent related experience in respiratory home care, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid BC driver's license and access to personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
