We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Langley Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our Respiratory Services department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions, and follow-ups related to respiratory therapy, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and mechanical ventilatory support.
- Provide airway management, patient evaluation, and daily care of patients as prescribed, and document same.
- Participate in education and training programs, including in-services and workshops, to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities, such as developing and implementing written procedures and standards, and evaluating patient outcomes.
- Monitor and maintain respiratory and related equipment, and perform required maintenance, cleaning, and calibration.
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam.
- Two years' recent experience in respiratory therapy.
- Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Level C and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
