Our system serves over 160 Amazon businesses with 60,000 active users per month, handling hundreds of millions of requests.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled System Development Engineer to join our team. As a System Development Engineer, you will design, develop, and operate complex and mission-critical systems at large scale. You will work on diverse challenges, including case management, system scalability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new and existing systems, including case management, system scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize system requirements
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including performance, security, and availability
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code
Requirements
- 2+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience
- 2+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals, including networking, storage, and operating systems
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based systems and services
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
- Experience with agile development methodologies
