London Drugs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Loss Prevention Manager, Physical Security and Resource Protection to join our team. As a senior member of our Loss Prevention Management team, you will play a critical role in meeting our company's Loss Prevention objectives and ensuring the effective deployment and maintenance of physical security plans, equipment, and systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Protect all company assets and reduce losses through effective security measures and strategies.
- Lead the Asset Protection team in initiatives related to security design, product protection, and physical security.
- Direct the use and deployment of security systems, including intrusion alarms, video surveillance systems, and access control.
- Manage security response during emergency situations and communicate with the LP team, Executive team, and authorities as needed.
- Travel to company locations or industry events as required.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to take charge, stay calm, and respond with good judgment in emergency situations.
- Demonstrated ability to work under strict confidentiality and remain objective.
- Highly organized with the ability to adapt to change and shifting priorities.
- Deliver a positive and professional leadership style.
- Conscientious in meeting schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to oversee and optimize a LEAN team workflow and manage production for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Intermediate general computer skills and ability to use AutoCAD.
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and security system design documents.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Must be self-motivated and always looking to contribute to the overall success of London Drugs.
- Knowledge of retail and commercial security practices, shrink reduction strategies, loss prevention techniques, and relevant criminal code sections.
- Formal physical security or construction industry education or a combination of education and experience that yields the required knowledge, strengths, and skills.
- Strong understanding of security assessment and systems design process.
- Knowledge of commercial construction process, codes pertaining to security and life safety systems, industry standards for physical security design in a retail setting.
- Knowledge of security use of architectural hardware, intrusion systems, fire alarm systems, video surveillance, access and key control, asset tracking, and perimeter protection.
- Understanding of security best practices, industry standards for security design, common commercial security measures, construction practices, and applicable codes and regulation.
