Job Title: Finish Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at Jot Renovation & Construction Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, and preparing layouts in conformance to building codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Supervise other workers and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment with a focus on quality and safety. The work site will be noisy and dusty, with regular outdoor work.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and supervise other workers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
