Position Overview

Role Summary

As a Community Engagement and Employer Relations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing awareness of WCG International Consultants Ltd. services among employers and local communities. This position focuses on facilitating access to essential services, fostering local employment opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships to address the varied needs of individuals and organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Labour Market Network meetings to unite community and employer stakeholders, ensuring effective labour market operations.
  • Deliver professional services through various methods, including in-person consultations, virtual meetings, and written communications.
  • Promote WCG services to all relevant stakeholders effectively.
  • Maintain clear communication and coordination with team members and external partners.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer service orientation while adhering to contractual and policy guidelines.
  • Participate actively in business and community events to achieve organizational goals.
  • Engage with local Business Associations and committees to further WCG program objectives.
  • Document activities in the WCG Customer Relations Management (CRM) system.
  • Provide up-to-date Labour Market Information (LMI) in various formats.
  • Support employers in hiring, training, and retaining employees, as well as in developing HR strategies.
  • Act as the labour market expert for the community.
  • Drive initiatives to attract new clients to WCG services.
  • Conduct group information sessions related to available services.
  • Lead events and activities that promote community engagement with WCG services.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in marketing programs and building partnerships with employers and community organizations.
  • Expertise in providing workforce development insights to employers and assessing their needs.
  • Strong digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of current labour market trends.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and understanding barriers to employment.
  • Demonstrated sales skills and exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and professional conduct standards; must undergo a criminal record check.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as needed.
  • A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license, with the ability to travel within the designated area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business or marketing.
  • Certification as a Career Development Practitioner (CCDP).
  • Fluency in French or other languages in addition to English.
  • Established connections with local employers and community organizations.
  • Familiarity with provincial government resources and online employment tools.
