Director of Quality Assurance and Risk Management

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Quality Assurance and Risk Management to join our team at Schlegel Villages. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care and services to our residents, visitors, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and support regular auditing to assess the effectiveness of existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the creation and implementation of village compliance plans, identifying trends and areas of risk.
- Lead and participate in annual program evaluations to measure the effectiveness of services and programs.
- Support the development, review, and update of policies and procedures to align with best practice, legislation, and organizational standards.
- Actively engage in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives.
- Support and promote a resident-centred social culture and deliver the highest quality of service to our residents, visitors, and team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Quality Management, Nursing).
- Strong understanding of legislative requirements and quality standards relevant to healthcare and senior living services.
- Experience in conducting internal audits and program evaluations.
- Proficiency in developing, revising, and implementing policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
