Disability Claims Coordinator

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Office Administrator to join our team at the University of Ottawa. As a key member of our Health and Wellness Centre Operations, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care and ensuring efficient workflow within the medical office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, case histories, and medical records.
- Maintain an effective and confidential filing system, ensuring all documents are appropriately added to patient charts.
- Receive and send requests for consultations and investigations from healthcare providers, monitor pending tests and referrals, and complete referrals made by healthcare providers to specialists outside of the Student Health and Wellness Centre.
- Communicate test results to students when directed by healthcare professionals.
- Conduct follow-ups as required for test results and other confidential documentation, and help students complete documents and medical history forms.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies, ensure orders are placed accordingly, and ensure all rooms are consistently equipped with adequate medical supplies.
Requirements:
- Postsecondary training in medical administration/secretariat or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record system (EMR) and in a medical clinic.
- Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of computer systems and software, including financial systems, spreadsheets, databases, internet, and email.
- Bilingualism (English and French oral and written expression).
