Job Summary:

The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Assistant Supervisor, Child Protection. As a key member of the Child Protection team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision and guidance to Child Protection workers, focusing on case management, investigation, and intervention strategies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including community agencies, healthcare providers, and law enforcement, to ensure a comprehensive approach to child protection.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans to protect children from harm.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as social work, child and youth care, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in child protection, with a focus on leadership and supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
