Job Title: Cook

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our culinary operations.

Job Summary:

The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Basic security clearance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
Work Environment:

The Cook will work in a restaurant setting in an urban area. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a physically demanding environment and be able to stand for extended periods.
