About the Role

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team at Transchem Group, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our business. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our chemical manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Operational Guidance
  • Oversee and provide strategic operational guidance to our locations in Ontario and Alberta.
Manufacturing Excellence
  • Implement and sustain manufacturing technologies that continuously improve operational excellence and model a safety culture.
Productivity and Capacity
  • Set and execute goals to improve productivity, capacity utilization, delivery performance, and resource utilization.
Leadership and Training
  • Provide operational training and leadership through being a positive and enthusiastic role model.
Performance Evaluations and Compliance
  • Conduct performance evaluations for team members and set departmental goals that are in line with organizational strategic plans.
  • Be accountable for compliance in assigned areas through collaboration with teams to coordinate company policies and procedures.
Facility Management
  • Oversee management of all company-owned facilities.
Industry Knowledge
  • Keep current on new and current manufacturing techniques.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 10 years of operational and manufacturing experience in a leadership capacity.
  2. Post-secondary education related to Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
  3. High level of manufacturing expertise with direct experience leading Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  4. Preferred candidates will have knowledge of:
  • a) Chemical Manufacturing
  • b) Field Installation Service
Experience directing and performing in-depth manufacturing planning, workforce planning, analysis, and implementation.Knowledge of manufacturing software systems to optimize data combined with inventory management.
