Responsibilities
  • Utilize dental instruments to clean teeth and gums, and to examine patients for signs of oral cancer and gum disease.
  • Record patient medical history and dental decay for diagnosis and treatment by dentists.
  • Maintain dental equipment and x-ray machines, and ensure proper sterilization and sharpening of instruments.
  • Develop and implement dental hygiene programs for patients, and promote preventative dental care to improve oral health.
  • Work collaboratively with dentists and dental assistants to provide comprehensive dental care.
Requirements
  • Ability to use an x-ray machine and other dental equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and dental team members.
  • Knowledge of oral hygiene and dental health principles, and ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting.
