We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Standard Truck & Crane Ltd. as a key member of our operations team.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Experience: The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field.
- Work Site Environment: The successful candidate will be able to work in a dusty and noisy environment.
- Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Interpret welding process specifications and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company standards.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate and repair metal components.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
- Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines to prepare metal components for welding.
- Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Work Terms: The successful candidate will be required to work a 40-hour week, with a permanent contract.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
