About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bar Attendant to join our team at Tomas the Cook / Specklebellys pub. As a key member of our hospitality staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean the bar area and wash glassware to maintain a high level of hygiene and presentation.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Serve food or snacks to customers, ensuring prompt and friendly service.
  • Inventory Management: Clean the draft beer system, order bar stock, and maintain inventory and control of bar stock to ensure efficient operations.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise food and beverage servers and other staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Drink Recommendations: Provide recommendations on drink selections to customers, enhancing their overall experience.
  • Scheduling and Cash Handling: Schedule staff, collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment for beverages, and operate the cash register with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Product Storage and Preparation: Store beverage and food products, and prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to meet customer demands.
Requirements
  • Work Term: Permanent position with a regular 40-hour workweek.
  • Work Language: English language proficiency is required.
