Job Title: Branch Manager - Automation & Digitalization

ANDRITZ AG is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Automation & Digitalization division in Kelowna, BC. As a key member of our regional team, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our regional business by working collaboratively with the regional Operational Management and Sales teams to achieve our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, program, and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications.
  • Audit industrial facilities and develop preliminary engineering designs and cost estimates for electrical and control system upgrades.
  • Design and commission industrial MV and LV electrical power systems, including electrical room design, equipment specifications, motor control, and grounding systems, and cable and raceway sizing and layouts.
  • Complete electrical control and instrumentation system design, including P&ID drawings, control system architecture, and instrumentation systems.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages, including electrical and instrumentation drawings, installation specifications, and other supporting documentation.
  • Provide project management, leadership, and technical guidance to a team of engineers and project stakeholders.
  • Oversee project coordination to ensure accurate billing, time accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Consult and negotiate with customers to prepare specifications, explain proposals, and present engineering reports.
  • Build, lead, and develop a small team of professionals, including recruitment and selection, training, and performance management.
  • Network with industry groups and professional organizations to establish the presence and reputation of the Company.
  • Ensure that the activities adhere to the quality standards established by the Company and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years' industrial project engineering experience, preferably in the pulp and paper industry.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage and deliver controls and electrical systems projects.
  • Customer-focused with strong business acumen and desire to develop sales.
  • Passionate about leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Comfortable developing relationships and communicating with all levels and departments within a mill.
  • Resourceful, self-managed, and goal-driven.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to present to others.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites.
