About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team at ANDRITZ AG. As a key member of our Automation & Digitalization division, you will play a crucial role in the growth of our regional business by working collaboratively with our Operational Management and Sales teams to drive the achievement of our organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, program, and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications to ensure seamless integration with our industrial facilities.
  • Audit industrial facilities and develop preliminary engineering designs and cost estimates for electrical and control system upgrades to optimize our operations.
  • Design and commission industrial MV and LV electrical power systems, including electrical room design, equipment specifications, motor control, and grounding systems, and cable and raceway sizing and layouts to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Complete electrical control and instrumentation system design, including P&ID drawings, control system architecture, and instrumentation systems to ensure accurate and efficient operation.
  • Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages, including electrical and instrumentation drawings, installation specifications, and other supporting documentation to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Provide project management, leadership, and technical guidance to a team of engineers and project stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee project coordination to ensure accurate billing, time accounting, and financial reporting to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Consult and negotiate with customers to prepare specifications, explain proposals, and present engineering reports to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Build, lead, and develop a small team of professionals, including recruitment and selection, training, and performance management to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Network with industry groups and professional organizations to establish the presence and reputation of ANDRITZ AG and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Ensure that all activities adhere to the quality standards established by ANDRITZ AG and industry standards to maintain our reputation for excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years' industrial project engineering experience, preferably in the pulp and paper industry.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage and deliver controls and electrical systems projects.
  • Customer-focused with strong business acumen and desire to develop sales.
  • Passionate about leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Comfortable developing relationships and communicating with all levels and departments within a mill.
  • Resourceful, self-managed, and goal-driven.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to present to others.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Consulting engineering experience an asset.
  • Registered (or eligible for immediate registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
