Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Firmware Test Consultant to join our team at Infinera. As a key member of our test team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality output by executing product Firmware testing with a strong focus on quality and adherence to project schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test strategies in an Agile environment
  • Debug and resolve technical issues
  • Execute test activities for product releases to address field issues, feature enhancements, and critical defect fixes through a mix of white box and black box testing
  • Collaborate with HW, ASIC, FW, and SW teams to derive test scenarios and improve customer experience
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis for customer-found defects and enhance test plans to cover customer scenarios
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2+ years of work experience in telecom product testing, with a focus on embedded telecommunication systems, ROADM/DWDM, and Optical Amplifier technologies
  • Experience in Firmware development in C/C++ and gRPC protobuf design is an added advantage
  • Experience in working in a cross-functional product development environment involved in testing carrier-class telecommunication products
  • Experience in working collaboratively with geographically separated test teams
  • Experience in developing test strategy, test plans using system requirements, and participating in requirement reviews, design reviews, and test plan reviews
  • Experience in using test equipment such as Optical analyzers, power meters, VOA, OSA, and Optical Switch
  • Experience in using defect tracking tools and test repository tools/applications
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills are critical
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, software version control (GIT), and bug tracking systems required
  • Experience in Test automation/Programming
Education/Qualification

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in CS or EE with very good academics
