Job Title: Plant Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Plant Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Ya YA Foods Corp (RP0001). As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, and repair or replace defective machinery parts.
  • Installation and Setup: Install machinery and equipment, and set up machinery for operation.
  • Coaching and Supervision: Coach and instruct apprentices, and supervise other workers as needed.
  • Fabrication and Estimation: Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up, and estimate costs and materials.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: At heights, noisy, odours, confined spaces, and dusty.
  • Work Setting: Machinery installation, staff accommodation provided, maintenance, service, repair, overhaul, card grinding, and machine set-up.
  • Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, overtime required, and standing for extended periods.
