About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Gas Plus. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and performing various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Accurately maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
    • Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare and present financial reports to management, including trial balances and other financial statements.
    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Accounting Tasks
    • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
    • Prepare and process payroll, including calculating and preparing cheques.
  • Computer and Technology
    • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
    • Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
