Municipal Water and Wastewater Engineering Lead

Partner Staffing is collaborating with a client in search of a dedicated and skilled Senior Mechanical Process Engineer who will take charge of the design, development, and execution of mechanical and process engineering strategies for municipal water and wastewater treatment systems.
This position entails managing engineering initiatives from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, regulatory standards, and financial limitations. The successful candidate will demonstrate robust technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and direct mechanical and process engineering initiatives for municipal water and wastewater treatment systems, including lift stations, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
- Create project timelines, plans, and budgets, ensuring compliance with deadlines and financial parameters.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external partners to achieve project goals.
- Design and evaluate mechanical and process engineering schematics, including system layouts, piping diagrams, equipment specifications, and process flow diagrams.
- Ensure that designs adhere to applicable codes, standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to substantiate design concepts.
- Facilitate design reviews, risk assessments, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Establish and uphold quality control measures to guarantee the highest standards of engineering quality.
- Conduct design and process evaluations to pinpoint improvement opportunities and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Act as the main liaison for clients, addressing technical questions and providing project updates.
- Prepare and submit essential documentation for permits and approvals.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer designation with APEGA, P.Eng required.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical and process engineering, specifically within municipal water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and leading engineering teams.
