About the Role

RONA Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Sales: Lead a team of associates to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Inventory Management: Manage all inventory, merchandising, and sales activities in departments such as Lawn and Garden, Electrical, Plumbing, Hardware, Tools, and Pro.
  • Team Leadership: Interview, select, develop, and provide direct leadership over a team that supports product categories in assigned areas.
  • Operational Efficiency: Drive execution of Installed Sales, Special Order Sales (SOS), and Pro Sales across assigned departments, ensuring operational efficiencies and maximizing overall customer satisfaction.
  • Pro Sales and Service: Maintain relationships with the store's top Pro accounts and local Pro Sales Manager (where applicable), driving Pro account sales and providing a fast and convenient in-store experience for the Pro customer.
  • Training and Development: Teach and demonstrate effective use of RONA's selling and service model, modeling the behaviors needed to deliver SMART customer service, maintain an in-stock position, and keep the store clean and safe for customers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (an asset).
  • Experience: 3 years of experience leading associates in a retail environment, with 1 year of experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations and processes within and beyond assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment, and knowledge of interior/exterior product categories.
