Logistics Coordinator Job Description

Just Quality International Inc. is seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a leading frozen foods supplier, we offer a unique combination of scale, flexibility, and global network of trusted partners.

Role Overview

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of import shipments, particularly international ocean shipments. Reporting to the Supervisor of Logistics, the coordinator monitors, follows up, and troubleshoots when issues arise.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Issue orders and collect and review documentation
  • Maintain and organize a logistics database
  • Monitor, track, and trace import shipments
  • Act as a point of contact for freight forwarders, shipping lines, terminals, warehouses, and carriers
  • Coordinate with various parties to ensure smooth flow of import shipments
  • Identify and troubleshoot any logistical issues that arise
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education
  • Demonstrated experience managing international ocean shipments
  • Excellent oral and written fluency in English
  • Competence in Spanish is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Resourceful and a self-starter
  • Thrives under pressure

This role is located at our Sheppard Avenue facility just north of the 401 and east of the 404. We offer a competitive compensation package for the successful candidate.
