Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative is a key member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional customer support and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate all aspects of siding, allied, and promotional orders from receipt to delivery.
  • Communicate with marketing and pricing departments regarding customer pricing issues.
  • Provide product knowledge to assist dealers with part and/or install inquiries.
  • Regularly communicate with various departments to facilitate orders for shipping and pick-up.
  • Process transactions and prepare daily schedules of orders for branch warehouse staff.
  • Communicate with warehouse staff regarding shipping errors and discrepancies.
  • Effectively support issues related to deliveries, including late shipments, shortages, and/or damaged products.
  • Prepare all required paperwork for freight claims and arrange for appropriate credit or reshipment.
  • Create and manage order entries.
  • Process credit/invoices for customers as required.

Requirements

  • Completion of college/vocational or technical training (Grade 12 or GED as a minimum).
  • Knowledge of building materials and construction techniques is an asset.
  • Computer literate; proficiency in using the Office Suite of products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ethics.
  • Attention to detail and elevated level of accuracy.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills.
  • Dedicated team player that can work effectively with their own team as well as other departments to achieve goals.
