Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Project Associate to join our growing Restoration team at Edison Engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the restoration of existing buildings, ensuring that our clients' mechanical projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site reviews and assessments to identify restoration needs and develop comprehensive reports.
  • Oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and drawings.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and site contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare payment certificates, monitor budgets, and track quantities to ensure project financial management.
  • Conduct condition assessments, preliminary reviews, and field review services to identify building system issues.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients through consistent communication and service excellence.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in building science, with a focus on residential building systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in building system installation and repair.
  • Practical understanding of construction processes and building system failure mechanisms.
  • Extensive knowledge of building mechanical engineering requirements, including Ontario Building Code (OBC), CSA, ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA, SMACNA, and AREMA.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
