Job Title: Strategic Development Analyst

At Royal Bank of Canada, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Development Analyst to join our Corporate Development team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping shape and execute our inorganic growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential growth opportunities.
  • Prepare comprehensive business cases and financial analyses to support strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders and external advisors to identify and pursue strategic opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business units, functions, and external partners.
Requirements:
  • Honours-level university degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Math, or Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate finance or M&A, preferably within a financial services organization.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and experience with valuation analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with senior leaders and external partners.
  • Naturally curious and keen to learn and develop new skills.
