As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing psycho-social assessments and treatment to clients and families, promoting their quality of life and well-being.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psycho-social assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide clinical and supportive counseling services to clients and families, addressing issues related to illness, adjustment, and lifestyle changes.
- Offer education and support to individuals, couples, families, or groups, helping them navigate the psycho-social implications of treatment and lifestyle changes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans and provide consultative services to clients, families, and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, contributing to the development and evaluation of departmental and program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an approved school of Social Work.
- Two years of recent related clinical experience working with clients in an acute care and/or community health care environment.
- Current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
- A valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
