IT Support Technician

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our team at NPC/Sandman Hotel Group. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. Candidates should possess a College/CEGEP education, with relevant experience considered an asset.
Work EnvironmentThe role is based at our head office, where you will collaborate with a team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate access to computer networks for users.
- Monitor and report on the performance of computer systems and networks.
- Assist users encountering technical difficulties with their computers.
- Research and implement solutions by consulting user guides, technical manuals, and other resources.
- Provide guidance and training to users based on identified challenges.
- Maintain a log of problems and solutions for the benefit of other technical support analysts.
- Engage in the redesign of applications and software.
- Oversee the work of other technical support personnel.
- Deliver business systems, network, and Internet support to users.
- Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software.
- Conduct web-server backup and recovery operations.
- Offer exceptional customer service.
- Manage and resolve incidents effectively.
- Familiarity with networking software.
- Knowledge of server management.
- Proficiency in desktop applications.
- Experience with database software.
- Competence in MS Office and SQL.
