About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at TechWest Inc. as a Precision Tooling Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for computing dimensions and tolerances of machine parts, measuring and laying out work pieces, and setting up and adjusting production machineries/tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts using precision measuring instruments
  • Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring accuracy and conformance to specifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements
  • Repair machine tools and parts, maintaining a high level of precision and quality
  • Set up and adjust production machineries/tools, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments, ensuring accuracy and reliability
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, identifying any discrepancies or errors
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, following established procedures and protocols
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and precision in work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Quick learner with a willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes
