Your Responsibilities
Job Objective:
The Maintenance Support Technician role aids the Maintenance department in various tasks. This position will assist Electricians and Millwrights with routine maintenance and preventive measures.
Duties Include:
Executing new or ongoing initiatives (5S, Tool, etc.) Completing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists Performing designated rack preventive maintenance (including upkeep, cleaning, and disassembly) Monitoring and managing stripping tank process parameters Organizing and cleaning shop floor areas as needed Ensuring overall plant cleanliness (basement, tenant floor, cupboards, outdoor areas) Maintaining work areas in a clean, orderly fashion, free from scrap materials Assisting in changeovers as necessary Providing backup support to Production Associates as needed Proposing corrective actions and continuous improvements Aiding in the implementation of new principles and practices Conducting necessary audits (5S, LPA) Supporting team members in achieving work objectives Complying with all Health and Safety protocols Performing other relevant duties as directed by the Tool Room or Maintenance Team Leaders/ManagersEssential Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12, GED, or equivalent Apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, or training related to trades is an asset Possession of a Forklift License or the ability to obtain one Overhead Crane Certification or the ability to obtain it Aerial Lift Platform Certification or the ability to obtain it Proficiency in computer systems and relevant softwareMarwood is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
