About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estate Planning Advisor to join our team at National Bank Financial (NBF). As a key member of our client advisory team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients and Investment Advisors (IAs) with their estate planning needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients on estate planning matters, including succession, retirement, and taxation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the region's IAs and clients in estate planning, conducting client interviews and establishing trust relationships.
  • Draft detailed estate planning recommendations tailored to each client's needs, taking into account their unique circumstances and goals.
  • Manage complex cases with tight deadlines, staying up-to-date with new developments in the field to ensure the highest level of expertise.
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions on estate planning to investment advisors, identifying and developing business opportunities for all services and products offered by National Bank Financial.
Requirements
  • Member of the Barreau or of the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in estate planning, including succession law, trusts, and administration of the property of others.
  • Significant experience in an expert advisory role, with the ability to build strong professional relationships with various types of professionals.
  • Skills in simplifying complex information and listening skills necessary for understanding clients' sensitive issues.
