Job Summary:

The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Whistler Blackcomb tune, repair, and maintenance locations for ski equipment and bikes. This includes managing merchandising, financial management, staff supervision, and overall store management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the service and tuning of customer, My Epic Gear, and rental skis/snowboards/bikes according to established guidelines.
  • Lead daily tune shop operations, coordinating with other departments on tune-repair needs.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and maintain a quality core tuning and maintenance center.
  • Monitor team performance and behavior, providing meaningful feedback and direction.
  • Ordering tune shop supplies and maintaining tune shop machinery.
  • Adhere to and enforce safety procedures according to policies and standards.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of team management experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years prior ski and snowboard tuning experience or background.
  • A minimum of 2 years prior bike maintenance and tuning experience or background.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to operate a truck on roads through adverse winter conditions.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Direct supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office Products; Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-building skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
