Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Avmax Group. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on all legal matters, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and existing legal team to support strategic leadership on business development and commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on contractual risks and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support the company's interest in legal proceedings, including litigations, arbitrations, and hearings.
  • Develop and implement standards and processes for drafting agreements and managing legal risks.
  • Collaborate with the leasing department, sales department, and senior management to align business processes with contractual obligations.
  • Provide guidance and support to legal staff on legal inquiries and requests.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Law (LLB) from an accredited Canadian university and current membership with the Law Society of Alberta.
  • A Master of Business Administration (MBA) would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent business acumen and understanding of commercial agreements.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
