Job Summary

Southern Health-Santé Sud is seeking a skilled Family Medicine Specialist to join our team in the Red River Valley Corridor. As an Independent Contractor, you will provide primary care services to patients in the Morris, St. Jean Baptiste, Emerson & Roseau River FN area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency department coverage at the Morris General Hospital
  • Offer primary care services at the Ginew Wellness Centre, Centre de santé Montcalm Health Centre, and Emerson Clinic
  • Participate in a collaborative team supporting NP primary care services in Emerson
  • Contribute to PCH duties/responsibilities at the Red River Valley & Emerson Personal Care Homes

Requirements

  • Proficiency in both official languages is essential
  • Eligibility for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
  • Current in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Able to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
  • Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
  • Good work and attendance record

Conditions of Employment

  • Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check
  • Immunization as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license, all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00
