Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Ontario Inc. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a retirement home setting. This includes administering medications, conducting specimen collection, and ensuring infection control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
  • Conduct specimen collection and laboratory tests
  • Ensure infection control and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Monitor patients' progress and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Train students, other technologists, or nurses
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a large caseload. The position requires standing for extended periods and the ability to work under pressure.
