Your Role as a Para Transit Driver

As a Para Transit Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe and reliable transportation for passengers throughout London. Your responsibilities include:

  • Safely transporting passengers along pre-assigned routes.
  • Conducting basic vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle condition at the start of each shift.

Your Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will possess the following attributes:

  • A clean driving record and a commitment to safe driving practices.
  • The ability to obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening.
  • A valid Ontario G class Licence (Preference will be given to those with upgraded licences).
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Comfort working around service animals.
  • A strong understanding of the city of London's geography.
  • Physical capability to handle a fast-paced, physically demanding job, including pushing wheelchairs (up to 250 lbs), twisting, pulling, and maneuvering at various heights.
  • Availability to work within one of our shift packages. The para service operates seven days a week between 6:00 AM and 12:00 AM.
