About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Sushi Panda. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare payroll cheques, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate various financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Accessibility: Provide physical accessibility accommodations to ensure equal access to our workplace.
  • Settlement Support: Assist newcomers and refugees with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and childcare.
  • Cross-Cultural Training: Deliver diversity and cross-cultural training to foster a welcoming work environment.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship and coaching to Indigenous workers to support their career development.
  • Community Engagement: Assist in social and labor market integration through community resource access and skills training.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Hours: 30-40 hours per week.
